A Letter to My Younger Self

Dear Ting Ting,

Life is not easy, it is always about reality and obstacles. Once you graduate from school, you will have to get around to earn enough money for living. Meanwhile, you will not easily let go of the dream you had in school, and the conflict will result in frustration.

Seeing life as a trade is the best way to eliminate conflict. In the beginning, you will work and trade your time with money. Then, your work will start to take off and you will trade the achievement with a better living. Finally, when you will be old, you will have spare time and money and you will realize the dream you had at school.

Don’t be worried in the first few years after graduation. It is common for young people to not have enough work experience and achievement. The only thing that young people can do is to continuously learn as much as they can. These efforts will pay off years later.

I wish you a patient mind to overcome the obstacles at work.

Best Wishes,

Ting Ting
