Famous People Selling Their Faces

Should famous people be allowed to sell their faces to deepfake companies?

Deepfake is a trendy technology that seems to have been adopted in more and more videos in recent years, but the society hasn’t been able to establish complete regulations about using it. It arises a the question “Should famous people be allowed to sell their faces to deepfake companies?”

In my opinion, famous people selling their faces to deepfake companies are unstoppable. The transaction is the same as selling portraits. Famous people take pictures or star in advertisements for brands, and brands can use it for commercial events. Once the deal is acceptable for both parties, it is done.

Because of a big demand and supply of famous people selling their face, deepfake companies are extremely fast at making adverts within a day. The technology  can save time for famous people and reduce the cost for filming companies. When there are profits, people can’t stop.

The most important thing is that the regulation of selling faces should be established as soon as possible, although the technology grows so rapidly that the laws struggle to catch up with it.
